Grant Scheme
The Society is pleased to offer grants for projects of an entomological nature, or of benefit to invertebrates.
Outline of the scheme
- The Society will consider applications for grants for projects of an entomological nature, or likely to be of benefit to entomology/invertebrates.
- Any applications must be received, in writing together with a stamped addressed envelope, by the Secretary of the Society by 30th November each year.
- Any awards granted will be presented at the next AGM, or by post thereafter if the recipient is unable to attend the AGM
- The Society shall have full discretion with regards to the amount awarded (it is anticipated that the maximum amount for a single award will be £2000), and any restrictions or conditions placed upon the grant, and also to refuse any or all applications received. The decision of the Society shall be final.
- The Society shall have the opportunity to ask for any more information deemed necessary to enable the application to be considered fully.
- Should the applicant fail to comply with anything in clauses 2, 4 or 5, the Society shall consider the application as being withdrawn.
Applications
Applications should be clear and concise. There is no set format for applications but you should provide information detailing:
- Who is applying for the grant?
- What the grant is for?
- What are the proposed benefits to entomology/invertebrates?
- How much is the total estimated cost?
- Is funding being sought from other organisations?
Applications can be emailed to grants@amentsoc.org or sent to our postal address.
Selection
Selection will initially be by a panel of three Council members and then a recommendation to Council.
