The Bug Club is for youngsters (5-15 approx.) interested in insects and other minibeasts. Bug Clubbers receive a colourful and exciting magazine six times a year and a variety of other benefits.
We run field events and trips during the year providing Bug Club members with the opportunity to learn from experts within the society. Upcoming trips are listed in the events section. You may also be interested in our featured insect attractions and days out.
If you're interested in keeping insects and other invertebrates as pets we have produced a selection of caresheets to help you provide the perfect conditions for your new pet.
We've also uploaded lots of bug games and activities for you to do, why not check out our Fun and Games section and learn more about the fantastic world of insects.
Bug Club members are encouraged to study insects and other 'creepy crawlies' and then produce reports of their findings - these projects are eligible for the Ansorge Bequest which is presented at our Annual Exhibition and Trade Fair. We also have an annual competition for the best article by a Bug Club member to appear in the Magazine. For further information see the awards section. We run other competitions throughout the year and also have an annual drawing competition for younger members.
