DESCRIPTION: The Quekett Microscopical Club will be hosting the L V Martin Lecture entitled "The Honey Bee Inside Out" by Celia F Davis. Celia Davis graduated from Reading University with a degree in Agriculture. After a career in teaching and lecturing she gave up work to concentrate on bringing up a family, cultivate a large garden and keep bees. She has been fascinated by insects since childhood and has kept bees for over 20 years. Celia is the author of two very highly acclaimed books, "The Honey Bee Inside Out" and "The Honey Bee Around and About". She is in great demand from a wide range of groups to speak on beekeeping, insects and associated environmental matters. The Quekett Microscopical Club is affiliated with the Amateur Entomologists' Society and AES members are welcome to attend but please do register in advance if you plan to go.
