DESCRIPTION: TV naturalist presenter and star wildlife cameraman SIMON KING will be at the BNA Annual Conference on 10th May 2008. Simon will be the 2008 recipient of the Peter Scott Memorial Award, and will be addressing Conference. Simon is best known as presenter/wildlife cameraman on the BBC's 'Springwatch', 'Autumnwatch' and 'Big Cat Diary'. Among the other speakers will be Professor Alastair Fitter, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of York University, and very well known as writer of excellent field identification guides, on which he often collaborated with his father, Richard Fitter (a long time Vice President of BNA). Alastair will be talking about his father's amazing achievements as a naturalist, about field guides, and the root connection between fungi and trees. Professor David Bellamy will chair the talks.
