Join the dots - What am I?

I am a social insect, this means that I live in a nest with millions of others just like me. We are ruled by a Queen and King. We are not native to Britain but abroad we are often called pests because we love to eat wood; this sometimes makes peoples' houses fall down!

We sometimes build very tall mounds to live in. These are made of a mixture of soil and spit and have their own air conditioning system to keep us cool. If you can't guess what I am then print out this page and join the dots on the picture and see!
