SUMMARY:Darwin, Fossils and the Shape of Life
LOCATION:Natural History Museum, Kensington, London, UK.
DESCRIPTION: This year's Annual Science Lecture will be presented by Professor Richard Fortey, former Natural History Museum palaeontologist and author of bestselling book "Dry Store Room No.1: The Secret Life of the Natural History Museum". Almost one hundred and fifty years since the publication of the On the Origin of Species, Richard Fortey explains how the study of fossils addresses some of the fundamental difficulties that Charles Darwin battled with when developing his theory. What can research tell us about how the variety of life on this planet came to be, and can it even explain the emergence of human intelligence? Tickets: £12.50, £9.50 concessions
