SUMMARY:Quekett Annual Exhibition 2013
LOCATION:The Dorothea Bate Room, Natural History Museum, Kensington, London, SW7 5BD, UK.
DESCRIPTION: The major annual event of the Quekett Microscopical Club this year will feature dark ground illumination with a display of instruments and slide preparations for this technique. Antique microscopes and slides from the Club collection will also be shown alongside microscopes and many exhibits from Club members demonstrating the range of interests of the current membership. This is an opportunity to examine microscopes, discuss techniques and examine a variety of specimens with committed enthusiasts. At least two demonstrations will offer the opportunity to make your own slides to take away, one of cardboard slides especially suitable for older children. There will also be displays for the Marson award for excellence in slide making, of photographs taken through the microscope and of macrophotography and by several other societies with interests that involve the use of the light microscope. AES members should contact the Quekett Microscopical Club if you plan to attend.
