DESCRIPTION: Organised by the Royal Entomological Society jointly with the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, this event is similar to the established York Insect Festival, and is an RES public engagement activity. Local and national entomological organisations (including the AES) will be present to describe their work and to highlight the important role that insects play in the environment. Insect-related activities and exhibitions will take place in the museum atria and education rooms. Insect hunts and other activities will take place at Brandon Hill reserve, adjacent to the museum. Featured will be RES information, live insect displays, demonstrations, award-winning photographic display, regional natural history societies and groups, universities, book sellers, entomological equipment and artwork.
