Annual day of talks on grasshoppers and relatives 2019

Event description

Everyone is welcome to attend the annual day of presentations about grasshopper research, conservation, recording, and more. No prior knowledge required.

For this year's 40th anniversary we are looking forward to talks about the grasshoppers of Greece, effects of storm surges on coastal species and repeat surveys of their populations, an exhibition of new grasshopper illustrations, and much else.

There is still space in the programme, please email Björn Beckmann at orthoptera@ceh.ac.uk if you would like to give a talk, suggest a speaker, or bring a poster or exhibit.

Tickets start at £11 + booking fee. Lunch and refreshments during the day are included. Talks are followed by an optional cold buffet with wine.
