Polesden Lacey BioBlitz

01 July 2017 10:00 - 16:00

Location: Polesden Lacey, RH5 6BD, UK.

Event description

The National Trust have started a meadow restoration project at Polesden Lacey improving the chalk grassland and hay meadows to make them as species rich as possible. As part of this the National Trust need to gauge the condition of the meadows. So a BioBlitz would be ideal to survey the meadows and find out what species are present and which are missing.

The National Trust will be looking at everything found in the meadow but the main focuses will be insects, butterflies and plants. The National Trust are trying to get as many experts as possible on site to help identify what is found and help members of the public learn about the amazing biodiversity which can be found in meadows.
