SUMMARY:On the Hunt for the Rugged Oil Beetle in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds
LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION: Free online event, booking required, donations welcome. We will have Jennifer Gilbert joining us in this VMU. Jennifer Gilbert works for Butterfly Conservation and is the Community Engagement Officer for Back from the Brink's 'Limestone's Living Legacies' project based in the Cotswolds. This talk will focus on their work on the Rugged Oil Beetle, it is one of the rarest of the UK's oil beetle species and is a target species for Back from the Brink's 'Limestone's Living Legacies' project in the Cotswolds. The project has been working with volunteers to learn more about the beetle's status in Gloucestershire and with the help of project partner Buglife, is also looking to discover more about its fascinating life-cycle.
