DESCRIPTION: The Verrall Lecture is an annual public event organised by the Royal Entomological Society, open to all and free to attend. From 2021, the Royal Entomological Society has collaborated with the Amateur Entomologists' Society to organise the Young Verrall lecture, with the same lecturer speaking to a younger audience. In 2026, this free talk will be given by Prof. Stanislav Gorb of Kiel University, Germany. The lecture is aimed at young entomologists between 7-11 years, but open to all, and will be in-person as part of the Staffordshire Invertebrate Science Fair. Contact: bug-club@amentsoc.org
