DESCRIPTION: Avon Wildlife Trust are working with Bristol Water to mount an exciting BioBlitz event at Chew Valley Lake in the summer. On Friday 1st July, local schools will team up with experienced surveyors and experts to identify and record as many species of wildlife as they can! And on Friday evening  members of the public can join in too - a local bat expert will lead a Bat Walk.The public all-day event on Saturday 2nd July will kick off with a guided Dawn Chorus Walk along the lake's edge, before the day proper gets under way: From frogs  to flowers, from butterflies  to birds, from reeds to reptiles - all of the life along and around Bristol Water's Grebe and Bittern Trails will be examined, identified and logged during the 2 days. Team up with naturalists and get  to identify and learn about a huge range of species including - wildflowers, butterflies, insects, birds, mammals, lichen, fungi, trees, moths, amphibians, reptiles, bats and more.....
