SUMMARY:Identifying aquatic invertebrates course with a specialist caddis and beetle day

DESCRIPTION: This course will involve the collection and identification of aquatic invertebrates. The purpose of day one is to introduce freshwater invertebrates and how to sample, identify and record them. Day two will focus on the collection and identification of caddis larvae and freshwater beetles. The course will be run by Ian Wallace and Garth Foster. Ian Wallace is the national coordinator for the Trichoptera Recording Scheme and Garth Foster is the national coordinator for the Freshwater Coleoptera Recording Scheme. Both have considerable experience in collecting and recording freshwater species.
