Coleorrhyncha is a suborder of the Hemiptera (true bugs). Historically the Coleorrhyncha were part of the suborder Homoptera. However, recent studies on the genetic relationship between the groups within the Homoptera has shown that they are more distinct than previously thought. As a result, the Homopteran suborder has been abandoned and the insects that were within it now form three distinct suborders instead (making a total of four suborders within the Hemiptera).

The suborder Coleorrhyncha contains just one family, the Peloridiidae, and this contains just 30 species.
