BioBlitz
A BioBlitz is an intense period of biological recording within a specific area. A BioBlitz usually takes place over a 24 hour period and involves experts and amateurs taking an inventory of all the living organisms within an area. These areas are commonly parks or other urban spaces.
Each year sees BioBlitzes taking place across the globe and the year on year profiles generated by the blitzes are invaluable data for measuring changes in biodiversity.
