Meet a Moth - AES/BENHS event

26 June 2021 10:00 - 11:00

Location: Online

Event description

Join us to see what AES and BENHS members found in their light traps the night before. You can share your moth finds too! Book online to receive the Zoom meeting details:

Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult and attendees are expected to abide by our online safeguarding policy (175K, PDF).

With the COVID-19 pandemic preventing our usual trip to BENHS headquarters at Dinton Pastures Country Park, we are instead bringing the moths to you via Zoom!

You don't need a light trap to take part, try a UVB torch or bulb against a white sheet - this video from the Natural History Museum, London will guide you. You can either capture your moths and show them to us on Zoom (keep them cool, out of direct sunlight if you do this), or take photographs to share with us (details on registration).

Don't worry if you don't have any moths - you are welcome to join to see what others have found.
