Communicate conference 2008

26 October 2008 23:00 - 27 October 2008 23:00

Location: HP Labs, Filton Road, Stoke Gifford, Bristol, BS34 8QZ, UK

Event description

Communicate is the UK's only conference for professional communicators of environmental and conservation issues, now entering its fifth year.

Environmental matters are now top of the political and public agenda. This is an extraordinary achievement, but many suggest the next 10 years are the most critical yet. It will decide our future and much of the life of our planet. Where should professional communicators now focus? How are conservation communicators dealing with going mainstream, and how are communicators in business, policy, and the media responding to increased focus on environmental issues? Are we collectively rising to the challenge? What should be our priorities now and how can you most effectively make your message heard?

Our success is a unique mix of workshops that develop your skills, debates that challenge your assumptions and networking that challenges your social stamina! There is art and performance and also an opportunity to promote your own initiatives.
