Gilbert White's House and Gardens is the historic home of Gilbert White, the 18th century naturalist who was considered 'the father of ecology'.

Every year they run an annual Nature Day, a fantastic family day out where local and national organisations come together to help families connect with nature and promote conservation of our natural habitats and wildlife.

Alongside welcoming stalls from a diverse variety of organisations, they also have a fun packed day of activities, which in previous years have ranged from butterfly to bird walks, pond dipping and bug hunting, all set in beautiful grounds within the South Downs National Park.
