Nature's hidden heroes - the importance of insects (KS2/7-11)

Celebrate Insect Week with STEM Ambassadors from the Royal Entomological Society (RES) and the National Education Nature Park!

Join the Royal Entomological Society and the National Education Nature Park for a live webinar in Insect Week 2025 about insects, our hidden heroes.

You and your class (ages 7-11) will have the opportunity to meet STEM Ambassadors Dr. Victoria Burton from the Natural History Museum, London, and AES Trustee, along with Dr. Liam Crowley from the University of Oxford. In an interactive presentation, you'll discover the important role insects play in our world and learn about Nature Park activities that you can do at your school. Towards the end, participating classes can submit questions via the webinar chat function. The host will then select a few to be answered by the presenters.

This session will be run over Microsoft Teams. There will be multiple schools on the call, so cameras and microphones will be disabled for all classes. The Teams link to join this webinar will be sent in the confirmation email, and then again 24 hours and 30 minutes before the webinar.
