Event description

In the 19th century the iridescent wing cases from brightly coloured beetles were popular trimmings for women's dresses and accessories. A talk with examples of beetle wing embroidery from the Museum Service's collections by Alison Carter, Senior Keeper of Art and Design.

This is a National Insect Week event.
