AES and Bug Club Field Trip to Bersted Brooks
20 June 2009 10:00 - 19 June 2009 23:00
Location: Bersted Brooks, Rowan Way, Bognor Regis, West Sussex, UK.
This is a return visit to this site, following a visit on 13th August 2005. This site was designated as a public open space a few years ago, previously being agricultural land. The Friends of Bersted Brooks manage the site with assistance from Arun District Council and the aim of the visit will be to increase the list of invertebrate recorded from the site. The previous visit in 2005 provided the first UK record of a Picture-winged Fly, Tephritis divisa.
Starting at 11.00 a.m. There is a small car park at the site, but a much larger free car park on the opposite side of Rowan Way serving various retail outlets such as Halfords. The entrance to the site is a few metres down Rowan Way off the A29 on the outskirts of Bognor Regis.
This event was organised by the AES.
