Insect Weekend at Sanders GardenWorld
20 June 2009 - 21 June 2009
Location: Sanders GardenWorld, Bristol Road, Brent Knoll, Highbridge, TA9 4HJ, UK.
Event description
Sanders GardenWorld in Brent Knoll is organising an Insect Weekend on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21. Visitors to the garden centre will be able to learn all about bees and other insects that may be present in their garden or the surrounding areas.
Peter Burks, General Manager at Sanders GardenWorld, explained:
"Insects play an important part in making a garden flourish. For example, moths are important for healthy gardens as they are vital for feeding birds, ladybirds eat greenfly and bees play a crucial role in pollinating plants. So it is really important to help keep numbers up and one way you can do this is by encouraging them into your garden."
Staff at Sanders GardenWorld would also like to hear from societies, clubs and individuals who are interested in sharing their knowledge with visitors to the garden centre.
Sanders GardenWorld is located at Brent Knoll, just off junction 22 of the M5.
