Event description
Celebrate the launch of Beelines on Windmill Hill - building Bedminster's first bee sanctuary.
There will be free bee-friendly plants and seeds available, as well as stalls with bee products for sale, honey-cakes and mead-tasting. Local artists will be running creative workshops involving insect-drawing, sculpture and kite-flying.
There will also be information about urban bees, a hive-hosting initiative, beekeeping demonstrations, and, at 3pm, Paul Hand of the charity 'Bees and Trees' will be giving a talk about bee history and gardening for bees.
