Cheshire Active Naturalists BioBlitz 2011
02 June 2011 23:00 - 03 June 2011 23:00
Location: Norton Priory Museum & Gardens, Tudor Road, Manor Park, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 1SX, UK.
The Cheshire Active Naturalists BioBlitz will take place on Saturday 4th June 2011 at Norton Priory, Runcorn. The site opens to the public at 10am and closes at 6pm.
This event will be the biggest BioBlitz ever to hit Cheshire, with loads of natural history experts attending, many from outside of the county, to help CAN record as many species as possible from the site.
The BioBlitz is free of charge and there are excellent facilities at Norton Priory including large car parks, cafes, plus a micro-brewery! Norton Priory supports a wealth of habitats including ruins, ponds, wildflower meadows, woodland, etc. We have experts coming who study millipedes, spiders, bats, aquatic invertebrates, plants, bees, lichens, mosses, birds, etc. An ID tent will be set up to help get to grips with some of the finds.
This event was not organised by the AES. Please contact the event organiser if you have any queries.
