Dove Stone BioBlitz 2011

08 July 2011 23:00 - 23:00

Location: RSPB Dove Stone, Greater Manchester, UK.

Event description

Come along and take part in the first ever Dove Stone BioBlitz and help us make a record of Dove Stone's wildlife.

From birds and mammals to insects and trees this is a chance to discover the diversity of Dove Stone through looking for, identifying and recording wildlife.

BioBlitz activities range from bird walks to bat and moth walks to tree surveys and insect hunts. If it's wildlife then we want to hear about it! RSPB staff and volunteers will be on hand throughout the day to lend their expertise and knowledge to your finds and spots.

As well as the main BioBlitz activities there'll be a fringe programme of events both at Dove Stone and around local parks and greenspaces with free transport to Dove Stone.

All events are free and open to all. No experience is necessary.
