Shieldbugs Workshop 2012
08 September 2012 09:00 - 15:00
Location: Chilcomb House, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8RD, UK.
Shieldbugs are amongst our more attractive and recognisable insects since many are quite large and some of the more striking inhabit our gardens.
Find out how to identify a Hawthorn Shieldbug from a Juniper Shieldbug or a Pied Shieldbug from a Birch Shieldbug in this one-day workshop which provides an introduction to the Shieldbugs of Hampshire and their identification.
The day is suitable for anyone aged 18 and over and will include various talks and demonstrations using museum specimens. The emphasis for the day is very much on participants having a go themselves at identifying actual specimens using the microscopes and identification keys provided.
Prior booking essential (numbers limited to 20).
