Location: Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace, London, UK.

Event description

This watercolour painting and sketching weekend will use art to examine the mysterious and fascinating process of metamorphosis. With introductions by experts from the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity, at the Natural History Museum, and exhibition curator Kate Heard, the course will be led by Cath Hodsman, one of the UK's leading natural history illustrators. Using microscopes, specimens and macro photographs you will produce a detailed and unique piece of art, charting stages of this amazing process from egg to adult butterfly.

All levels of experience welcome and all materials provided. Ticket price includes complimentary tea and coffee, and an early morning private view of the exhibition
