Hoverfly Identification Workshop 2017

Location: Chilcomb House, Chilcomb Lane, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8RB, UK.
An introduction to some of the 270+ hoverflies found in the UK. Some species are mistaken for bees and wasps as they are good mimics and these will be covered as part of the day's activities.
The workshop, led by Dr Chris Palmer, is suitable for anyone aged 18 and over and will include various talks and demonstrations using keys, photographs and insect specimens. The emphasis for the day is very much on participants having a go themselves.
Cost: £25.00 (to include tea/coffee)
There are a limited number of subsidised (half course fee) places for students provided by the John Spedan Lewis Trust. Please check availability at time of booking.
