David Lonsdale wins top conservation award

Dr David Lonsdale, AES Conservation Secretary, has won the 2009 Marsh Award for Insect Conservation. The award recognises an outstanding contribution to the field of insect conservation and is run by the Marsh Christian Trust in partnership with the Royal Entomological Society.
David Lonsdale is a long-standing and influential figure within the AES. In addition to his work as AES Conservation Secretary and two spells as President of the Society, David founded and remains editor of the highly-respected Invertebrate Conservation News.
The Amateur Entomologists' Society would like to extend its congratulations to David on winning this most prestigious award.
