Entomology for the snow bound

Published: 19 December 2010

If you are snowed in this winter and need to do some productive reading and research, we would remind you that digitised copies of the Entomologist's Record and Journal of Variation dating between 1890 and 1998 are freely available through the Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL), the digitization component of the Encyclopaedia of Life.

The BHL is an international consortium organized to digitize, serve, and preserve the legacy literature of biodiversity.

Systematic biology depends - more than any other science - upon historic literature, and the AES is pleased to make its data freely available through appropriate public access channels. AES members also have access to the more recent digitised copies of the Record, through our members' area on www.entrecord.com
