AES Exhibition statement

Published: 04 July 2020

The ongoing pandemic means that we are currently not able to advise whether the AES Exhibition at Kempton Park Racecourse on Saturday 17th October 2020 will be going ahead.

As things currently stand the government restrictions will not allow either the venue to open nor allow for mass gatherings of the exhibition's nature to take place. We are also considering the implications of 1 metre and 1 metre plus social distancing measures along with other PPE protection that may be required. We are in ongoing communication with the events team at Kempton Park and we are working with them to decide the best course of action to take.

Currently there are three options available to us:

  1. The exhibition will run as normal (if government restrictions allow) and we will then undertake the necessary course of action to enable the event to run as normally as possible.
  2. The exhibition will be rescheduled for March 2021 when it is hoped that the exhibition will be able to run in a more normal environment.
  3. The exhibition will be cancelled and a date for the 2021 event will be announced.

We would like to stress that at present, despite the various reports on social media channels, no decision has yet been made with regard to the event this year and current status is that the event is still on.

We will make a final decision in early August as to whether we will be able to run the event.
