2021 AES Exhibition cancelled

Published: 16 August 2021

It is with sadness that we announce that we have had to cancel the 2021 annual exhibition. With a number of restrictions still in place for large indoor events and a reduced trader capacity, we have come to the conclusion that the show is simply not viable for us to be able to run, both in terms of finance and in terms of us being able to safely staff the event. There is also the potential risk of the local council not allowing the show to proceed should the number of cases significantly increase as we start to go into the autumn. With all of the work that goes into getting the show off the ground, this is something that was potentially the deciding factor for us.

We know that many of you, our members, look forward to the show each year and we apologise for the second year running that we are not able to bring you the event.

We would like to thank all of the traders for their understanding, we also know how important the show is to them. We will be putting a special exhibition page up on our website during the month of October to provide you with the details of the traders that would have been at the event. We are also hoping that some will offer some "exhibition" discounts to you during the month, in light of the lack of the show.

We would also like to thank the wonderful team at Kempton Park racecourse for their help. Over the long period of association that we have with them, they are always helpful and have been hugely supportive in trying to find solutions to the many problems faced.

Rest assured, plans are already underway for the 2022 show at Kempton and a date will be announced in due course.
