Nick Baker to become Patron of the AES
Published: 03 April 2025
We are delighted to announce that the naturalist and broadcaster Nick Baker has agreed to become the first-ever Patron of the AES, on the 90th anniversary of the Society.
Nick is well known for his work with the BBC, which has included TV programmes such as The Really Wild Show, Autumnwatch and Springwatch Unsprung.
Nick's involvement in ecology and conservation goes beyond these roles, and he has important charitable commitments such as vice-presidencies of The Wildlife Trusts and the RSPB.
Nick's association with the AES goes back a long way, to his childhood, and as a student at Exeter University Nick was involved in the birth of the AES Bug Club, the logo of which Nick designed and is still in use today.
