Hitchin community bee garden set to open in 2008

Published: 21 April 2008

An old rubbish tip in Hitchin, Herts is being transformed into a fantastic new bee discovery centre.

The project will comprise bee hives, bee garden, plant nursery and a bee discovery centre. Visitors will learn all about bees and their importance to the environment. In addition to honey from the bees and vegetables from the nearby allotments, plants will also be on sale from the nursery so that people can make their own gardens more attractive to bees.
