It's Darwin Day today!
Today celebrates the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin. Specifically Darwin Day celebrates the discoveries and life of the man who first described biological evolution via natural selection with scientific rigour.
This day is being celebrated internationally and there are events taking place across the world. You can find an event near you by looking on the Darwin Day Web site: http://www.darwinday.org/
The AES is celebrating the life and work of Darwin by publishing the February issue of the Bulletin as a special issue focussing on evolution. Also, our 2009 Members' Day has as its main theme 'Evolution and the insect world'.
