Bangor

AES@Bangor (known in Bangor as just AES@B) is an entomological society based at Bangor University, affiliated from the outset with the Amateur Entomologists' Society (AES), a registered charity. Unlike many university societies it is open to all, within the region and beyond.

AES@Bangor was formed in memory of Prof. Michael Majerus - a man who had a great passion for the natural world, and the gift of passing on that passion to others. Mike worked especially with insects and was a lifetime supporter of the AES.

AES@Bangor mirrors the aims of the AES more widely - to provide a gateway to the study of insects for everyone.
