AES conservation project

Published: 09 February 2009

The Amateur Entomologists' Society is pleased to announce details of the AES conservation project.

Bersted Brooks Open Space, Bognor Regis, West Sussex was designated as a public open space a few years ago, previously being agricultural land. The site is managed by the Friends of Bersted Brooks with assistance from Arun District Council. The AES first visited the site in August 2005 and  recorded invertebrates found on the site, these included a fly not recorded in Britain before.

The AES is dedicated to increasing the list of invertebrates recorded from the site. We will be returning to the site for an AES and Bug Club Field Trip to Bersted Brooks on 20th June 2009.
