Net
A net is an item of collecting equipment used by biologists. Nets have a mesh or fabric bag stretched around a frame. The frame is then attached to a handle.
Different types of net are used depending on the type of habitat being sampled. For example, lightweight butterfly nets are used to collect flying insects but robust sweep nets are used to collect invertebrates from thick grasses and shrubs.
