In January, the Amateur Entomologists' Society became the official publisher of the Entomologist's Record and Journal of Variation.

The Entomologist's Record was founded by the famous Lepidopterist J.W. Tutt in 1892 and published without a break ever since. It contains both peer reviewed articles and notes, including some regular definitive reviews. The Entomologist's Record is published in alternate months to the Bulletin so, by subscribing to both, you will receive a high quality entomological journal every month of the year.

To celebrate this new arrangement, and bring the journal to the attention of existing AES members, all adult members of the AES (who do not currently subscribe to the Entomologist's Record) received a complimentary copy with their February 2009 Bulletin. Having seen this copy of the journal, many of you have been asking how you can change your subscription to include future issues of the journal. In response, we have now published information on how you can upgrade your AES membership to include the Entomologist's Record.
